Effective date and scope
Effective July 15, 2026. This policy covers the public PriceDropFinder website. The private administrative portal is restricted to authorized operators and is not a public account service.
Account and preference information
The separate My PriceDropFinder account service stores a normalized email address, display name, password hash produced by ASP.NET Core Identity, account state, policy acceptance times, authentication security events, and timestamps needed to provide and protect an account. Passwords and verification or reset tokens are never stored in plaintext.
If you create watchlists, PriceDropFinder stores their names, product-interest rules, saved-deal snapshots, match explanations, pause state, and related history. Notification delivery is not active. The service does not sell personal information and does not use watch preferences for advertising profiles.
Hosting, retention, and deletion requests
Hosting providers may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser type, requested path, timestamp, and security signals. Account data remains while the account is active and while needed for security, fraud prevention, legal obligations, and reviewed deletion processing.
An authenticated user can download an account JSON export and request deletion. A deletion request disables ordinary account access and enters a reviewed process; security and immutable audit records are not immediately erased. The account support runbook documents later hard deletion and anonymization boundaries without claiming legal certification.
Affiliate links and external sites
A qualifying retailer link may identify PriceDropFinder to an affiliate network through configuration that is not stored in public content fixtures. Following an external link means the retailer or network may process information under its own privacy and cookie policies. Review those policies before purchasing.
Choices and future notifications
Account holders can pause or remove watch rules, remove saved deals, export their data, change their password, or request account deletion. Email, SMS, and push deal notifications are not active; this policy will be updated before any delivery feature is enabled. Contact options will be published only after a verified non-personal channel is available.
